What is the Counselling by Phone service?
Counselling by phone is just like having a face-to-face counselling session except you're talking to a trained counsellor over the phone.

You can arrange counselling sessions at a time convenient to you. With a team of qualified and experienced counsellors available, Relate GMN can provide specialist counselling in a wide range of relationship issues.

Who's it for?
Relationship counselling is for people in relationships and single people. Telephone counselling sessions can be by yourself or with you and your partner, even if your partner is at a different location.

How to book
Contact us on 0845 165 1830 and ask the receptionist if you can book a telephone counselling appointment.

We will organise a suitable time, including evenings and weekends. Payment via a debit/credit card will be required, so please have your card to hand when calling.

At the end of your initial appointment, the counsellor will provide you with the option to book another with them. If happy to do so, agree a time / date with the Counsellor and they will contact you accordingly. Otherwise re-contact the booking line and they will make the necessary arrangements.

Charges
£45 per hour is the standard charge and this covers the cost of providing a Relate trained counsellor and does not make a profit.

½ hour sessions costing £25 are available but are not normally recommended for someone using the service for the first time.

Calls can be made to landline or mobile phones with no extra cost to yourself.

If you wish to reschedule or cancel a telephone counselling appointment you need to contact the Booking Line 24 hours in advance of the appointment within working hours.  If less than 24 hours notice is given you will be charged for the appointment

  • The person who replies to your email will not be a counsellor and can only answer questions about how telephone counselling works and some of the advantages of the service.
  • We are unable to arrange appointments by email, this must be done via the telephone only.
